Ten quality control points
The goal is not to accumulate specifications. It is to review what customers need to verify when accepting the equipment: brands, materials, fabrication, controls, monitoring, fuel consumption and tests.
The engine affects starting response, sustained output, fuel consumption and maintenance intervals. The appearance of the assembled unit is not enough.
Alternator brand, insulation class and voltage regulation affect sensitive loads and long-term power quality.
Core components, controllers, breakers, sensors and wear parts should have a clear source so future maintenance is based on reliable references.
Steel plate, base frame, lifting points and load-bearing areas determine stability during transport, lifting, vibration and long-term use.
Enclosure accuracy affects door gaps, sealing, airflow, noise control and maintenance access.
A weld should be assessed for continuity, slag removal, finish and treatment at load-bearing points, not simply for its presence.
Outdoor equipment should withstand rain, dust, salt-laden air and frequent service. Hardware details affect performance over years of use.
Reliability also depends on control logic, circuit protection, cable sizing, terminals, wire identification and grounding.
Remote monitoring is more than adding a module. It should make operating hours, alarms, battery condition, ATS status and maintenance events traceable.
