Preventive Checks
- Loaded testing must include cooling loads rather than only the IT power chain.
- Establish a staged cooling-recovery strategy so all cooling equipment does not start at once.
- Regularly review room temperature, cooling alarms, sensors and the control chain.
Maintenance Routine
- During outage recovery, record IT load, cooling load, temperature and generator load ratio together.
- Retain temperature curves and cooling-start records as SLA evidence after testing.
- Revalidate standby-power capacity after cooling-system modifications.
Engineering Recommendation
In a data center, power recovery and cooling recovery are one process. Keeping IT equipment energized without stabilizing temperature does not close the risk.
